How a Nova Credit Request Works in 4 Steps

A nova credit request moves through four stages: you send one form, lenders in our network review it, you read any offer that arrives, and the lender you choose deposits funds after its own verification.

  1. Submit your request. Complete the short nova credit form on this page with the personal loan amount you need, your contact details and basic income information. It takes about five minutes, and there is no fee to use our service.
  2. Get matched with lenders. Your request is shared with lenders in our network that may be able to offer a personal loan from $500 to $5,000 in your state.
  3. Review your offer. If a lender makes a personal loan offer, you see its APR, fees, term and monthly payment before deciding anything. You can decline at no cost.
  4. Receive funds from your lender. After you accept and finish the lender's verification, many lenders deposit funds as soon as the next business day, though timing is an estimate and varies by lender and bank.

We are a free matching service, not a lender, and nova credit searches lead to lenders rather than to a loan we issue. Every credit decision, rate, fee and term comes from the lender, which is why two people sending a nova credits request on the same day can see very different results. For a fuller walkthrough of each stage, read how our matching service works.

What the Request Form Asks For

The form collects the details lenders need to decide whether to make a personal loan offer: loan amount and purpose, identity and contact information, income and employment, housing cost, and the checking account where funds would be deposited.

Expect nova credit form questions in roughly this order:

SectionWhat you enterWhy lenders ask
Loan detailsAmount from $500 to $5,000 and a purpose, such as auto repair or debt consolidationMatches you with lenders offering that amount and use
Personal detailsName, date of birth, address, email and phoneConfirms identity and age eligibility
IdentitySocial Security number, or ITIN where a lender accepts oneUsed for identity checks and the credit inquiry
IncomeIncome source, monthly take-home pay and pay frequencyHelps the lender estimate what payment you can carry
EmploymentEmployer name and time on the job, or benefits sourceShows that income is steady
HousingRent or own, and monthly housing paymentFeeds the debt-to-income review
Bank accountChecking account and routing numbersWhere the lender would deposit funds and collect payments

Answer each item exactly as it appears on your pay stubs and bank statements. People who search nova credits often rush this step, but accuracy matters more than speed. A typo in a routing number or a rounded-up income figure is one of the most common reasons a nova credit personal loan stalls during verification.

03

Documents to Keep Ready

Most nova credit requests need no uploads at the start, but lenders often ask for documents before funding. Having them ready can shorten verification from several days to about one business day, depending on the lender.

Keep these within reach before you begin a personal loan request:

  • A government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or state ID card
  • Your Social Security number or ITIN
  • Your two most recent pay stubs, or a benefits award letter if income comes from benefits
  • Self-employed applicants: recent bank statements or a tax return showing about the last 12 months of income
  • Online banking login or a recent statement for the checking account you list
  • A current utility bill or lease if your ID shows an old address

Many people searching nova credits want funds quickly, and missing paperwork is the usual source of delay. If a lender asks for a document, reply the same day when you can, because a personal loan cannot fund until verification is complete. Our personal loan eligibility checklist lists the general requirements lenders look for, including the minimum age of 18, or 19 in Alabama and Nebraska.

How Lenders Review a Personal Loan Request

Personal loan lenders weigh three things above all: your credit history, your income compared with existing debt, and whether your identity and bank account can be verified. Many start with a soft credit inquiry, which does not affect your score, to prequalify.

A lender reviewing a nova credit request might, for example, see a borrower earning $3,200 a month in take-home pay with $900 in rent and $250 in other debt payments. Adding a $190.08 payment, the figure from the representative example of $2,000 over 12 months at 24.99% APR, would bring total monthly obligations to about $1,340, or about 42% of take-home pay. Some lenders would accept that ratio; others would offer a smaller personal loan or a longer term. Nova credit borrowers with lower ratios generally see more offers.

If you accept an offer, the lender usually runs a hard inquiry, which may lower your score by a few points for a short time. Lenders may also call your employer or confirm deposits in your bank account. Estimated APRs through lenders in our network typically range from about 6% to 35.99%, and the personal loan rates and fees guide explains which factors push an offer toward either end.

05

Comparing, Accepting or Declining an Offer

Compare nova credit offers on APR and total repaid, not on the monthly payment alone. Accepting is a decision you make on the lender's site after reading its agreement; declining simply means closing the offer, with no fee and no penalty.

Before you accept any nova credit offer, check these points in the personal loan agreement:

  • APR and whether the rate is fixed for the full term
  • Origination fee in dollars, and whether it is deducted from the deposit
  • Monthly payment, term and total repaid
  • Prepayment rules, since some lenders allow early payoff with no penalty
  • Late fee amount and the grace period, if any
  • Payment method, such as automatic debit from your checking account

Suppose two lenders offer $2,000. One shows 24.99% APR over 12 months with no fee, about $190.08 a month and $2,280.94 total. The other shows 21.99% APR with a 6% fee deducted up front, leaving $1,880 in hand. The second looks cheaper on rate, yet you receive $120 less, so the first may be the better deal for nova credits shoppers who need the full $2,000. You never have to accept any personal loan offer that arrives.

06

Privacy and Security of Your Request

Your nova credit request travels over an encrypted connection and is shared only with lenders and service partners involved in reviewing it. We do not charge for our service, and sending a request does not obligate you to anything.

A few practical safeguards help protect you:

  • Confirm the address bar shows a secure connection before entering your SSN or bank details.
  • No legitimate personal loan lender asks you to pay a fee, buy a gift card or send money before receiving a loan. Treat any such request as a scam.
  • Lenders may contact you by email, phone or text about your request, so watch for messages from the lender you chose.
  • To ask about your data or opt out of marketing, use the contact details in our privacy policy.

Nova credits requests are handled under the same policy as every other request on the site, and you can contact us at [email protected] or (888) 307-8750 with questions.

07

State Availability for Nova Credit Requests

Nova credit availability depends on where you live. Lenders in our network are licensed state by state, and some states cap rates or limit loan sizes, so the offers you see, or whether any lender can make one, vary by state.

In states with strict rate caps, fewer personal loan lenders may participate, and offers may skew toward borrowers with stronger credit. In other states you may see more offers with a wider range of APRs. Terms of about 3 to 36 months are typical for this range, though some lenders go longer. Nova credits searchers in every state should enter their real home address on the form, since lenders must follow the rules of the state where you live.

If no lender can make a personal loan offer, you are not charged anything, and you may try again later after paying down debt or adding income history. Answers to common timing and eligibility questions are collected on our frequently asked questions page.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the request form take to complete?

Most people finish the nova credit form in about five minutes if they have their income details, Social Security number and checking account information ready. Lenders in our network may then show an offer within minutes or contact you later, and timing is an estimate that varies by lender, your state and the time of day you submit.

Can I change the loan amount after I submit the form?

You can usually discuss a different personal loan amount with the lender once an offer appears, and some lenders let you adjust the amount or term before signing. If you want a very different amount, it is often simpler to decline the first offer and send a new request with the corrected figure, which costs nothing.

What happens if I decline every offer I receive?

Nothing happens beyond closing the offer. There is no fee and no obligation to accept, and declining does not affect your credit. A soft inquiry made to prequalify you does not lower your score, though some lenders may still email or call you about the offer until you ask them to stop.

Do I need to upload documents when I send the request?

No uploads are needed to send a nova credit personal loan request itself. A lender may ask for a photo ID, recent pay stubs or bank statements after it makes an offer, as part of its own verification. Sending those quickly is the most reliable way to keep funding near the next-business-day estimate many lenders give.
