Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information our service collects when you use our website or submit a nova credit request, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

01

Scope of This Policy

Our privacy policy applies to personal information collected through our website, the request form, our emails and text messages, and our support channels. Lenders in our network follow their own privacy policies once they receive your request.

By using our website or submitting a request, you agree to the practices described here. We are a matching service, not a lender, so we do not hold loan accounts or payment records.

02

Information We Collect

We collect information you give us on the request form, information gathered automatically when you visit our website, and limited information from service providers that help verify identity and prevent fraud.

Information you provide

  • Identity and contact details: name, date of birth, home address, email address and phone number
  • Financial details: requested amount, loan purpose, income, pay frequency, employment status, housing payment and checking account status
  • Government identifiers: Social Security number or ITIN, and in some cases a driver's license or state ID number
  • Bank details such as routing and account numbers, when needed so a lender can deposit funds
  • Messages you send to our support team

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type and operating system
  • Pages viewed, time on page, referring website and the ad or link that brought you to us
  • Cookie identifiers and similar tracking data, described below

Information from other sources

We may receive identity verification, fraud screening and data-validation results from service providers. We may also learn from a lender whether you accepted an offer or whether a loan was funded.

03

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the matching service, pass your request to lenders whose criteria may fit, and communicate with you about your request and related offers.

  • Match your request with lenders and marketing partners in our network
  • Verify your identity and help detect fraud or misuse
  • Respond to support questions and privacy requests
  • Send emails, calls or text messages about your request and, where permitted, other financial offers
  • Measure and improve website performance and the form experience
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of use
04

How We Share Your Information

We share your request with lenders and partners in our network so they can decide whether to make an offer. We also share information with service providers who help run our website, and when the law requires it.

Once a lender receives your request, that lender's own privacy policy governs how it uses your information, including any credit checks it performs. Lenders may keep your data even if you do not accept an offer. Our advertiser and lending disclosure explains how partners compensate us for these requests.

05

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies, pixels and similar tools to keep the form working, remember your progress, measure traffic and understand which ads bring visitors. Some of these tools are run by analytics and advertising partners.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the request form may then stop working. Many browsers also offer a Global Privacy Control signal, which we treat as an opt-out of sale or sharing for that browser where state law requires it. We do not respond to older "Do Not Track" signals because no common standard exists for them.

06

How We Protect Your Information

We protect personal information with encryption in transit, restricted employee access, and administrative, technical and physical safeguards suited to sensitive financial data.

The request form uses TLS encryption, and sensitive identifiers are stored in encrypted form with access limited to staff who need it for support or compliance. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

07

How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as needed to operate our service, resolve disputes, meet legal and record-keeping obligations, and prevent fraud. Request records are typically kept for up to about seven years.

Analytics data is usually kept for a shorter period, often about 26 months, and then deleted or aggregated.

08

Your Choices and How to Opt Out

You can stop marketing messages, limit cookies, and ask us to access, correct or delete your information. Opting out of marketing does not stop messages a lender sends about an offer you requested.

  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Text messages: reply STOP to any message from our service.
  • Phone calls: ask the caller to place you on our internal do-not-call list.
  • Data requests: email [email protected] or call (888) 307-8750.

To stop contact from a lender that already received your request, contact that lender directly using the details in its message or offer.

State Privacy Rights Summary

Residents of several states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others with consumer privacy laws, may have added rights over their personal information. Some financial data is governed instead by federal law.

Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what we collect, access a copy, correct errors, delete information, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or its use for targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. You or an authorized agent may submit a request, and we will verify your identity before acting. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

10

Children's Privacy

Our website and request form are intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old, or 19 in Alabama and Nebraska. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

11

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy when our practices or the law change. The Last updated line on this page shows when the most recent changes took effect.

For a material change, we will also notify you by email or a website notice where required.
